AI search engines ([ChatGPT](https://chatgpt.com), Google AI Overviews, [Perplexity](https://perplexity.ai), [Gemini](https://gemini.google.com)) can synthesize answers and link to sources. Getting cited means appearing in their responses, not just ranking on page one.
